The purpose of TERNS is to promote the restoration of the original tidal flow to the Santa Ana Salt Marsh. We will accomplish this through community education concerning the degradation of the canal, and through collaboration with local, state and federal agencies. Publicity and support from these agencies will be encouraged.
Our efforts should produce positive outcomes including improved water quality for bird and marine life, a vibrant body of water for our community, and a natural tidal flow for the estuary.
