We have had a continued problem with migrating ducks in the pool this last month. The ducks fly in at daybreak and stay only for a short time to drink water. Unfortunately they also leave us waste in the pool, which greatly impacts water quality to the point we should shut the pool down.
We have determined that basketballs in the water deter them from coming in. If you see the ducks in the pool, please toss one of the basketball their way and they should fly away.
We will also make a point to leave a couple balls floating the water. Please do not remove them as we have members on “Duck Patrol” who have placed them in the pool.
Special shout out to long-time residents Mark and Molly Wiehardt who have led the Duck Patrol along with Tom Higgs who has added more duck lines across the pool. Hopefully this will be under control in the next few weeks.
